Unsocial is the Official mobile app for the DECA West Regional Conference starting today in San Diego. The four-day conference brings together the brightest high school minds from across the Western United States as well as a small handful of neighboring countries. Over the next four days students will participate in competitions, seminars, teamwork & leadership skill building activities, networking, and student interaction.
With such a demanding conference schedule, Unsocial will help students manage their time by providing the agenda, venue map, speaker bios, and interactive networking with other attendees, all in the palm of their hand.
Main Events of the DECA Conference include:
- Exciting Panels – Conversations with local industry leaders
- Informative Workshops – Presentations by local industry leaders
- DECA University – Career Development training where students can “major” in a specific industry (i.e. Marketing, Finance, Technology, etc.)
To better prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs, DECA is collaborating with Unsocial, a mobile networking tool for professionals to locate meaningful people around them – at conferences, events, airports, lobbies – and connect in real-time.
DECA Attendees become their own personal brand with Unsocial and can broadcast who they are and their business interests to people around them. Unsocial connects to your LinkedIn profile but only shares the information you want other conference attendees to see.
Unsocial aims to encourage and help students build their professional networks as they are venturing into the business world. By building their network at the beginning of their career, they will have a professional network they can rely on as they evolve through college, jobs, and life.
